Sherpa Food Tours started out right when the Buenos Aires food scene was taking off. We noticed the city had become full of incredible places for eating out or grabbing a great cup of coffee, and soon everyone you knew was talking about this one place or the other.

Foreigners, however, were still going to the same tourist traps as ever. There were other food tours before us, but they were centered on the cookie-cutter version of Argentine food. No one was really providing an authentic gastronomic experience. It wasn’t just about the food: our best traveling memories have always been shared, about meeting other travelers and letting great times with new friends unravel. This fits perfectly with the Argentine spirit: we love to eat, but we love eating with friends more. We decided right then and there that Sherpa was going to be an ambassador of Latin hospitality and culinary excellence, bringing travelers together for a memorable feast.
